I've learned some things this week. Here they are, in no particular order.
1. I have had too many migraines lately. It's time to go back on those lovely drugs that make me feel awful, but take the pain away. With needles and everything. Joy.
2. I am the least important person in this family. No matter what I say, the opposite results. i.e. if I tell Drew NOT to hit the girls, he hits them anyway. Why I even bother speaking is beyond me.
3. I really dislike fowl of any kind. See here if you are new and unaware of my dislike. Now I have a new reason to dislike fowl. We have wild turkeys. They muck up my gardens and eat my seedlings. I live on the "wildlife preserve" side of the road, which means I cannot ask my neighbor to come shoot them. I need to learn how to use a bow and arrow. Stat.
4. I shouldn't blog when my children are awake. Things like children climbing furniture and pulling small children across the floor occur when I blog. Harkens back to #2.
5. The sound of children screaming is like a hot knife in my eye. Doesn't bother me so much when I don't have a migraine. Today I would like to pull my eyes out.
6. Apparently I've learned many things, since I'm already up to #6. Too bad I have to go deal with #4.

When was the last time you met with your neurologist? They have many new meds out that you can try and maybe they won't make you feel so ass-rific. Have you triped Topamax? It's a daily medication that was previously used as a treatment for depression and obesity, so it's side effects are Happiness, weight loss, and no headached! I loved it! But like I mentioned, it also can reduce the efficacy of hormonal birth control if you're on it, so you might want to research.
Long story, there are other methods out there that may not make you feel as shitty as the last one you were on.
poor K. i hope you find a good drug soon. i've only had one migraine in my life and can't imagine it daily, w/ four kids.
I just hope you feel better. No one likes to feel like ass and be responsible for 4 other people. That's crazy. Sending Good Energy.
I am in complete agreement with #2. Unfortunately, I was under the impression that kids grew out of this. Since you have kids older than mine, I think I'll go cry in the corner.
Good luck with the bow and arrow! ;)
2, 4, and 5. Yep.
Hope you get the migraines stopped and the meds don't suck too bad.
Check. Check. Check and check. I'm so sorry about the headaches. I'm in allergy/sinus headache hell right now and every little sound makes me want to clock someone with a mallet. Never good.
I get easily confused by names that start with the same letter (it is a brain flaw), and so when I read it, I thought it was DOUG hitting the girls! Just for a brief moment, and so the mistake was amusing rather than appalling! I may need some sort of "blood flow to the brain" medication myself.
